14.05.2013First APEX flight campaign

The first of many SEON flight and field campaigns is scheduled for 14 - 22 May 2013. Various test sites ranging from aquatic ecosystems (Lake Geneva), agriculture sites (Delley, Eschikon, Lyss, Reckenholz, Oensingen) to forest sites (Laegeren), will be covered with the APEX imaging spectrometer. SEON team members will extensively acquire ground data for calibration and validation purposes but also to develop a significant data base to parameterize process models. Consecutive campaigns are envisaged for summer and spring 2013, followed by various multi temporal campaigns in the next years.
